Brothers and Sisters, It's the Time of Your Lives

Erin is a dear, dear friend of mine. About a month ago, her little brother Brian left for Kentucky to begin basic training for the army. Before he left, they decided to give their parents the most wonderful Christmas present parents could ever ask for...pictures of their kids. So, we headed out to their old elementary school and then to Huntington Beach, both being their old stomping grounds, and came up with these.

Love's Lookin' Good on You

Way back in November, I had the pleasure of taking engagement pictures for one of my best friends, Angelina and her fiance Grant. These two have been together for over two years now, but it was not until last year that I really got to know Grant and see how wonderfully fun their relationship is. They are one of those "they're just too cute" kind of couples where you can visibly see them light up when they are around each other. (I'm not just saying that) We headed up to Oak Glenn where the sun was surprisingly cooperative after an hour or so. Here's to you Angelbabe and Grantland.

I LOVE this last picture!

Emily & Jordan

This is my beautiful roommate Emily and her fiance' Jordan. They are absolutely wonderful- so fun and goofy and they truly love each other. They wanted come pictures to celebrate their engagement, which they let me take, and it was such a fun time; here are a few from the day.

(I'm not sure why they're not coming up clear on the blog; sorry about that)

A New Kind of Polaroid

The reason I haven't blogged in the last few days...Lehua's birthday cake. My friend Lehua is a fellow photographer, and she takes a lot of polaroids, so I decided to make her this custom cake! My favorite part is the polaroid picture!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LEHUA!!!!

When it's Worth Waking Up

This morning I woke up at 7:30.
Yes, on a Saturday. After a long week of work and internship.
I did it so I could go garage sale-ing with my good friends Angelina and Emily.
Angelina and I went often last semester so we could find things for her paintings, which by the way, you should take a look at here.
It was totally worth it to get up and go, because we had some amazing finds: like these mirrors that I love, a strange tablecloth that I guarantee will make it on this blog sometime, and even a coffee grinder for $1.
Plus, we got Jax donuts. What more could you ask for on a Saturday morning?

Good food, Good friends, Good times

I absolutely love to cook, and I love it even more when I get to share the end product with other people! So last night, I tried out a new recipe: chicken piccata with pasta & mushrooms. I got to share it with two of my roommates, Emily and Ashley, and my good friend Theresa. I think it turned out alright, and it was so nice having an excuse to spend time with those girls! I'm still looking for new things to try, so let me know if you have some good recipes.

Just in Time

Things have been pretty insane this last month with starting a couple new jobs and getting my life in order. So this last weekend was a breath of fresh air when I got to pick up and go to Seattle with my good friend Lindsey. Here are a few highlights...

The Space Needle...

My brother and his girlfriend, Melissa, just moved a little north of Seattle a couple months ago, so it was wonderful getting to see them and stay at their place. Also meet their cute little dogs Conrad and Brutus...

We got to see the James Turrell permanent exhibit at the University of Washington. So interesting!

Fun fact: my brother's dog Conrad goes insane when he sees that string and does crazy jumping tricks.

Just liked the quirkiness in this picture...
Of course Pikes Place Market...

The beautiful Terese also moved up to Washington a few months ago, so we got to see her. She showed us around the city and it was so much fun!

Lindsey was obsessed with this building...

The viewfinder...
...and the view

All in all a great weekend!
